Christmas Day!

This is my second Christmas and it was wonderful! Last year I spent it with Vlad who is all alone in New York this year. I sent My Love a nice Christmas/Hanukkah package to cheer him up. I know he had a miserable Christmas because I was not there.

Here is our little tree. It is the perfect size for me. Isn't it pretty?

Our tree topper wasn't an angel or a star but an Owl! Pony lives north of Los Angeles where there are lots of coyotes, rabbits, owls, birds, squirrels, possum, raccoons, and mice in the backyard.

All the wonderful presents! There are so many!

Here are our stockings hung by the chimney with care.

Here I am dressed in my new winter parka! I also got some new toys and holiday dog cookies.

Christmas Eve Dinner

What is there to do on Christmas Eve? Not much. Nina took us on a long walk around the neighborhood. Then she went with Pony to do some grocery shopping for dinner. Pony spent all day cooking dinner.

I got a little pancetta and beef but ate mostly my dog food - yuck! Happy Christmas Eve Dinner!

Driving to Los Angeles

The drive down to Los Angeles from the SF Bay Area was B-O-R-I-N-G! I got to sleep on Nina's lap for half of the drive, but after a quick stop for gas and a potty break for me, I was banished to the backseat. I made many failed attempts to get to the front of the car. Nina kept pushing me back and telling me that it was too diffcult to drive with me in her lap. That didn't stop me from trying for the rest of the drive.

I was relieved and super excited when we finally got to Pony's house. Nina took me for a quick jog around the neighborhood so I could "do my business" before we went inside. I still peed on the carpet.


Our Room! It has a surfer/Hawaiian theme. There's even a surfboard pillow and a pineapple candle.


This is Lucky, the dog-intolerant Cat. He doesn't like me at all. Every time I get near him, he swipes at me with his claw-less paws. He's gotten a few good hits and I scream in fear. Is it because I dig through his litterbox?

Holiday Road Trip

Road trip! We are going on a 6 hour drive to Los Angeles to visit Nani a.k.a. Pony (Nina's sister). It will be boring but at least we'll be in L.A. tomorrow. There is nothing to do in the car but sleep. I usually like to stick my head out the window but we will be going too fast. I'm so excited to go to L.A. because its nice and warm and I get to see Lucky the cat! He doesn't like me very much but I always try to be friendly. Last time he slapped my face and hissed at me... Maybe its because I ate his poo.

I have to finish packing!

Presents!

Today Nina was wrapping Christmas presents. I tried stealing the tape which made Nina mad. Then I started tearing up some pretty wrapping paper which also made Nina mad. So I tried playing with the ribbon because I wasn't allowed to do anything else and that made Nina mad. I don't like wrapping presents because it makes Nina mad.



Here is my wish list for Christmas...

-cheese.
-a new Mr. Bear because the current Mr. Bear is ugly.
-a new bed because I destroyed my last one...

Winter Time

It is frrreezing. I am always shivering. I hate the cold. I hate the rain. I hate the wind. I hate winter! Except the clothes. I like wearing sweaters and coats and getting lots of attention. Too bad I'm not a long-haired dachshund with a thick natural coat to keep me warm.

Staying inside all the time can be depressing, but it sure does beat walking around in the cold.

Mr. Bear Found Mutilated

Mr. Bear had extensive cosmetic surgery done today. His face was severely deformed after months of abuse from Franny. Mr. Bear had been missing for a few weeks until he was discovered yesterday, hidden under the bed, in the worst shape of his life. Franny is being held for questioning. He was in such poor condition, Nina was not sure if he could ever look the same. His eyes, mouth, nose, and ears were gone. He had no face and was emaciated (missing the stuffing in his belly). Nina proceeded... here are the results...

Learning New Tricks

Today I learned what a donut is. If Nina asks me where my donut is, I can find it and she gives me lots of treats. I can't believe I didn't know about this before, its so easy.

Piddling in Bed

I've been peeing in Nina's bed. Its actually MY bed that I let Nina sleep on. I don't know what the big deal is. It is MY bed. Well, Nina has been very upset because I've been doing it every other night. She must hate laundry. I do it because I hate her. She is trying to steal my one true love, Vlad. Doesn't she know that? She always tries to keep us apart. He's in New York while I'm stuck with her in California. I know Vlad loves me more. He tells me so when we're together. I miss the days when it was just me and Vlad. Those were very happy times.
