Silly & Random

Well, Nina's a big fat liar. She said she'd help me blog, but her excuse is that she has been too busy. It's always the same lame excuse. And when she's busy, that means our lives are boring. Really boring. So here are some never before seen photos for now... sigh

Ah, I remember Chrissy Field! We haven't been there in forever... Ahem. Nina was trying to take a regal photo of me in front of the Golden Gate Bridge and Margot ruined it by taking a dump. How could she?

I love to sleep and Margot loves to sleep. But Margot likes sleeping on her back. When she sleeps on her back she has crazy dreams where she starts barking and whining. She wakes us up in the middle of the night because of it. Maybe she needs therapy.

Margot and Pippin have a love/hate relationship. Sometimes they get frisky and chase each other and wrestle. Other times, Margot bothers Pippin by trying to hump him. And sometimes Pippin will jump on Margot and bite her neck like a vampire until she screams. They were much nicer to each other when they were both younger.

I was so much happier in the summertime. Now it's cold and I'm always burrowing under the covers.

This is the classic "dachshund as gopher" pose. This is what we doxies do when we want something.

Margot and I play rather viciously. I think we scare people with our teeth and with all the growling and barking. But this is love!

Here we are playing "Following the Leader". I'm the leader. Margot is the follower. Hee hee.

See you on Turkey Day!

Sun Day

Today was a sunny day in California. And by sunny, I mean the sun was very angry and beat us down with scorching heat. He scared away every cloud in the sky, so he must have been pretty lonely up there. Serves him right, because I started panting the minute I got up this morning and we don't have any air conditioning. So I did what I do whenever its hot... I slept.

Nina's room is painted a light blue, so although it was really hot, it looks a bit cooler. Don't I look like a precious little angel, sleeping in the clouds? All I need are some wings and a halo. And definitely a harp too.

Here's a quick photo of my sleepy sisters, but that's not important.

What's important is meeee. It is my blog after all.

But we can't forget about Pippin! He's important. Don't worry, our feelings are mutual.

Sweltering and sleeping,
Franny

Cat As Trophy

I've had some catastrophic relationships with cats in the past, but Pippin and I have a wonderful friendship. Pippin loves me and my sisters. He likes to wrestle and play with Ellie, harass Margot, and he loves to nap with lil' ol' me.

Here he is, getting ready for a big snooze.

And here I am, joining him for a nap.
Pippin was surprised by the presence of a camera. He later told me that he felt it was an inappropriate time for Nina to take photos. I totally disagree. Look at my sultry stare. Priceless.

Pippin is a great snuggler. I love him. He is my trophy cat, if there is such a thing.

Do any of you doxies and doggies out there have any trophy cats?

Hugs & snuggle bugs,
Franny

This year on "Doxiementary"...

Franny's adventures continue, taking place in a different part of the San Francisco Bay Area, and with a whole new cast of characters.

Franny
ME, the star of this blog, always and forever.

Margot
My doxie sister who is a recovering poo-eater and lawn-destroyer.

Pippin
My kitten brother who we adopted last year into our family. He had a myriad of health problems and we got him all better! He's a cat who actually likes me!

Eloise
Ellie is our newly adopted baby sister. She came to us needing some love and a new family. We just couldn't say "no".

UPDATES: Because it would take me 78 hours to type one post with my paws, Nina helps me with my blog. Our avid readers may have noticed that Nina has not been helping me, and this blog has not been getting updated. Hopefully we will update in a more timely manner. In the mean time, I wanted to share with everyone what has been going on!

First, we're MOVING! We live in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area but we are now moving to the Peninsula. How cool is that? Because our family has reached its maximum capacity, we're moving to a pet-friendlier place closer to Nina's work.

We've been extremely busy preparing for our move, but in the beginning of January, we visited Pony for the very last time at her Los Angeles home. She moved to Florida a few weeks ago so our trips to LA are no more. I hope one day I will be able to visit her in Florida and see my cousin Lucky again (and eat his poo).

Lastly, I want to thank all my friends who continue to leave comments on my blog! I'll find a way to thank you better.

Yours truly,
Franny
