THE WIENER

The Wiener is...
Oskar and Alicia!

Yummy Bacon Beef Burgers

Because Oskar is allergic to Peanut Butter (so sad!), we got Oskar some Bacon Beef Daisy Burgers. It's funny because Espresso and mom, Lindsay had mentioned in their comment how much they love In and Out Burger and I love In and Out! Unfortunately, dogs don't get to really eat burgers, which is why we thought the Daisy Burgers would be the perfect treat for Oskar. Oh, and he gets to keep the squeaky hamburger toy too!

Oskar and Alicia, please email us your mailing address: nina@doxiementary.com

Yes, I have even dedicated an entire post to my love of In and Out.

Farewell New York!

My trip to New York City was well over a month ago, but life back in California got really busy. You know how it is when you come back from vacation! This will be my last post about my trip and in a few days, I'll be back to blogging about my normal life as a dachshund.

Here I am, sticking my head out of the apartment window. We were on the fourth floor and I liked to stare at the pigeons.

Staring at people walking down the stairs.

Did I mention how much I hate stairs? They're not good for my back either.

One last pose and then I want off the stairs!

Wouldn't this fountain be more beautiful if there was a little statue of me at the top instead of that angel lady? I think so.

A statue of me like this would be very nice.

Relaxing by the fountain and watching more people.

Ducks are boring. They're not even scared of me.

We sat on top of this huge rock in Central Park and watched two newlywed couples get their photos taken.

I'm ready for the stage.

Was that a squirrel? I think I saw a squirrel!

I'll dance for Mr. Frosty's!

The things I do for human food! I didn't even get a lick!

As you can see, we spent a lot of time in Central Park. It was so much fun! I can't wait to visit again.

Toodle-loo,
Franny

p.s. If you haven't seen Pixar's new movie "Up", go out and watch it immediately! There are lots of doggies in it. Nina especially liked Dug.

In and Out

If you're ever in California, make sure to stop by an In and Out Burger. They have the best fast food hamburgers in the whole wide world. After a day at the beach, we always stop by the drive-thru. I always score a few french fries and sometimes a piece of hamburger. My favorite part is smelling all the wonderful smells and greeting the people in the window.

I'll take forty hamburgers, thank you very much.

Red Mango

We spent the afternoon in downtown Palo Alto on University Ave.

We stopped to get a treat at Red Mango, a frozen yogurt shop. I wish I could eat it all...

I'm just dying to have some!

Yummy banana!

Still chewing.

Nina always lets me have the yogurt soup at the end.

Hey, Down Here!

Grandma, can I please have what you're having? PLEASE!!!

Lately, I've been refusing to eat my dog food. I beg Grandma for some human-food leftovers but Nina's been watching me and Grandma like a hawk. Nina doesn't want me to get fat. Being overweight is apparently bad for my back. I personally think eating is good for my soul. At least, that's what my eyes are saying when I beg for food. Grandma just can't say "no" to this face!

More please,
Franny

Triple Death Threat

Nina's sister recently went on vacation to Hawaii and brought back a triple death threat: kona coffee caramel & macadamia nuts covered in milk chocolate. I think Hawaii is trying to kill us...

In case you didn't already know, Coffee and Chocolate can cause vomiting, diarrhea, panting, increased thirst and urination, arrhythmias, tremors/seizures, and mortality in dogs. Macadamia Nuts are just as poisonous. Beware my fellow canines! Don't go to Hawaii!

Aloha,
Franny

Happy Early Valentine's Day!

Nina is going to New York tomorrow. She will be in New York during Valentine's Day which really sucks because I need to be smothered in kisses, especially on Valentine's Day! She baked some yummy Valentine's Day red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting to take with her for her friends in New York.

Who doesn't like Red Velvet? My favorite part is the cream cheese frosting.

This is absolute torture.

Little Brody in a girly sweater.

I'm sad Nina is leaving me alone for 10 days and I'm sad I didn't get any cupcakes...

Saddle Peak Lodge

Nina and Pony and Pony's boyfriend Keith went for brunch at Saddle Peak Lodge. I couldn't go but here are some pictures.

Nina loves animals but also the meat, like me. Sorry if this offends anyone who doesn't eat meat or anyone who is against the practice of taxidermy.

Kobe chopped steak sandwich with St. Agur blue cheese & garlic fries.

Buffalo burger with Gruyere cheese and homemade potato chips.

Warm banana bread pudding with blueberries.

A badger! I would tear it apart.

Christmas Eve Dinner

What is there to do on Christmas Eve? Not much. Nina took us on a long walk around the neighborhood. Then she went with Pony to do some grocery shopping for dinner. Pony spent all day cooking dinner.

Looks tasty.

The table is set and ready for dinner.

Beef Tenderloin, green beans with pancetta, and potatoes gratin!

I got a little pancetta and beef but ate mostly my dog food - yuck! Happy Christmas Eve Dinner!

Love,
Franny
