Yummy Bacon Beef Burgers

Because Oskar is allergic to Peanut Butter (so sad!), we got Oskar some Bacon Beef Daisy Burgers. It's funny because Espresso and mom, Lindsay had mentioned in their comment how much they love In and Out Burger and I love In and Out! Unfortunately, dogs don't get to really eat burgers, which is why we thought the Daisy Burgers would be the perfect treat for Oskar. Oh, and he gets to keep the squeaky hamburger toy too!

Franny Delights Over...

I want to tell you about my favorite treats! I found these at a local pet boutique and ever since I gave them a try, they have become my absolute favorite! I know that may not be saying much since I will eat just about anything...

Diabolical & Delicious

If you've never read this blog, you may still may have heard that I love hating squirrels. These diabolical little furballs are disguised to look cute, but in reality, they are evillllllll. If I could climb trees, they'd be dinner. And breakfast. And lunch. And even brunch! Since I haven't found a way to climb trees just yet, this guy will suffice in the meantime.

This one looks so much tastier than this yummy guy I devoured a few months ago.

How many more photos do you need before I can eat this thing???

Afternoon Stroll

With two other doggy siblings, it's often difficult to be able to spend some one-on-one time with Nina. When I was the only child, Nina took me everywhere, always. Now, we take turns going out with her shopping or running errands (because three's a crowd). I guess it's not so bad relaxing at home with a treat-filled Kong... But when I do get to go out, I have so much fun smelling new smells and meeting new people.

Pony was in town visiting from Florida and she and Nina took me out to Laurel St. in San Carlos.

There's a little park located in between the shops on Laurel. I was smelling all the dogs who had been there before but suddenly felt the urge to start digging. And because Nina's a party pooper, she dragged me away before I could cause any damage.

I wasn't happy.

We walked into the pet boutique, Bow Wow Meow.

Are you going to buy me anything???

A wall of toys! If I could take these home, it would be one of my biggest dreams come true.

Yummy Squirrel

I've never eaten a squirrel before but I often dream about doing so. I imagine they'd taste really good... maybe even better than the stale french fries I find under the car seat!

I've encountered many a squirrel. They're evil little things! Remember this incident?! It's as if it were just yesterday...

This is how I view squirrels.

This is what I would request for my last meal on this earth.

This is the closest I've ever come to eating a squirrel.

Franny's 3rd Birthday

My Third Birthday was on Wednesday, July 22nd. It was a weekday, which meant that Nina was busy with work. My actual birthday was nothing special and I was sad that I didn't have a party. But on Sunday, Nina took me to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and we had a birthday picnic with all my friends!

It's my birthday and I'll whine if I want to! I'm now 3 years old!

These paper flowers are pretty, but they're also annoying.

Margot is wondering why she's not getting any pretty flowers.

This is the best day of the entire year!

Yummy cupcake. And it's my favorite color!

My guests are wondering when they're getting their cupcakes...

The end to a wonderful birthday party! Even though many passersby laughed at us, it didn't spoil the fun. And they were probably just jealous!

The Runs

I've been sick for a few days. I started vomiting and now I have diarrhea aka the runs. Nina's not sure if it's something I ate, something I may have picked-up, or just a regular tummy ache. I went to see the Doc and we brought some of my poop in a bag for testing.


I'm on a bland diet which isn't so bad and is actually quite tasty. I am also taking some medications that will hopefully make me better. I hate being sick.

A Day of Rest

With having to go to work every day, getting ready for the move and Margot's mishap (entirely Nina's fault), we haven't had a day of rest in a loooong time. SO FINALLY, A DAY OF REST HAS COME.

Nina has decided to stop everything for one day and just hangout with yours truly!

Well, not just me. Together we are all enjoying our last few days in the East Bay.

Tip/Trick from Nina: The things you can accomplish with a piece of stale left-over bacon are endless.

Dog Food

I'm a very picky eater. I don't have any problems eating human food, but dog food is different. I've rejected several dog foods... Royal Canin, Science Diet, Iams, Nutro, you name it, I hate it. The only dog food I love is Wellness. Not only is it tasty, it's super healthy and made with quality and wholesome ingredients. Even with Wellness' Super 5 Mix food, I still have to eat it with a tablespoon of Wellness canned food mixed in. But now... Wellness came out with Super 5 Mix SMALL BREED - tasty and tiny triangular kibbles.

Dachshund Biscuits

Nina made these very tasty treats for the dachshund meet-up this past weekend. I could eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.










Here's the recipe:

2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
3/4 - 1 cup low sodium beef stock
1 cup of corn meal for rolling out treats

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix the flour, cheese, egg, and 3/4 cup of beef stock together until it forms a dough. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of beef stock if the dough is too dry.
3. Sprinkle cornmeal on bread board and roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick.
4. Use cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
5. Place on greased cookie sheet or parchment lined sheet.
6. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.

The dachshund and bone shaped cookie cutters were purchased from Sur La Table.
