It's A Boy!

Nina's brother got a dachshund puppy. He will probably grow to about 12 lbs. He is a longhaired black and tan boy. He has the softest fur. His name was changed from Kevin to Joey. Nina really wanted him to be named after the Australian Shepherd puppy she fostered in '07. This is now Little Joey.

*UPDATE MAY 2008: Due to unforeseeable circumstances, Nina's brother could no longer care for Joey (now named "Brody"). Brody is happily living with his new doxie sister, Veda, and his new mommy and daddy, Jenna and Will.

Just Dogs Gourmet

Nina went to the mall today to shop for her New York trip and left me at home alone. I was pretty upset because I hate being left home alone. When Nina came home she gave us some cookies from Just Dogs Gourmet bakery. I'm glad I didn't tear-up a notebook or destroy anything today.


A yogurt dipped cookie with sprinkles for a good girl like me. Can I eat it now?

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It has been raining a lot in the San Francisco Bay Area. I hate the rain. The rain really makes things boring. I usually dig at the carpet or chew something I'm not supposed to. Today the rain did stop for awhile so Nina took me to the dog park and it was freezing and everything was wet! I stayed on the cement sidelines of the park while the other dogs ran around in the mud. I think the visit to the park was worse than staying at home.

I hate the rain but it makes everything green and pretty, like my eyes!

Lazy Sunday

Hmm.. Today I did not feel like doing anything.


I knocked over breakfast. I sniffed it. I didn't feel like eating.


I didn't feel like playing either. I just stayed in bed for most of the day...


I hope we can go to the dog park tomorrow. Sundays are always boring.

Snow in California

On our drive up from Los Angeles to San Francisco, we drove through some mountains and saw snow! It was nice because I've never seen snow and I've definitely never played in snow. Next winter when Nina goes to Nevada to snowboard, she will take me with her and we will get to play in the snow. I doubt I will like it because I hate getting wet and I hate the cold...

If we move to New York we will get to experience the snow more often.

Today we went to Pinkberry.

Special Lunch

I was left alone for most of the day while Nina and her sister Pony went shopping in West LA. I was bored, lonely, and sad! To make up for it, Pony made me a special lunch.

Saddle Peak Lodge

Nina and Pony and Pony's boyfriend Keith went for brunch at Saddle Peak Lodge. I couldn't go but here are some pictures.


Nina loves animals but also the meat, like me. Sorry if this offends anyone who doesn't eat meat or anyone who is against the practice of taxidermy.


Kobe chopped steak sandwich with St. Agur blue cheese & garlic fries.


Buffalo burger with Gruyere cheese and homemade potato chips.


Warm banana bread pudding with blueberries.


A badger! I would tear it apart.

Hiking in L.A.

Today Nina took me on a short hike. It had just rained so everything was wet and muddy.

Lucky Hates Me

Lucky is Pony and Keith's cat. He is accustomed to being the only "child" or animal in the house. He hates me! It really makes me sad. I try to play with him and get close to him but he growls, hisses, and swipes at me. I am definitely scared of him.

This is as close as I can get to him.

He prefers being alone.

Bobo Spayed by Franny

Pinky Bobo was found today, spayed. The perpetrator? Franny. She must feel that Pinky no longer needs her "lady parts". Franny was released with no charges. Franny has a long list of offenses; one count of damage to a bra, a few counts of misdemeanor battery involving Mr. Bear and other victims, several counts of bed wetting, and one count of food theft... and the list goes on.
