My Friend, Phoenix

Margot and I spend most of our days at doggie daycare. We have so much fun running around all day. We love playing with all our friends, big and small. Out of all the dogs, who would've thought that my best friend would turn out to be a Pitbull named Phoenix.

MEET PHOENIX

Isn't she pretty? I think so. I heard her neighbors are scared of her. Maybe if they met her, they'd know that Phoenix is the 2nd sweetest and friendliest dog in the whole wide world (I'm #1). Just because Phoenix is a Pitbull, it doesn't mean she's evil and scary - she is the exact opposite! I'd like to refer to a local organization known as BAD RAP (Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pitbulls) and their Pitbull myth busters. Pitbulls really do get a bad rap, thanks to irresponsible humans.

Nina claims she is embarrassed by my behavior, yet she photographs me and then posts it on my blog! Phoenix is also wondering why Nina is photographing us. So rude!

I like napping with my best friend, Phoenix.

And she likes napping with me, too.

I hope you enjoyed meeting Phoenix! Stay tuned for news about my other friend, George!

Out like a light,

Watch Dog

I don't know if you know this, but I'm a highly trained Watch Dog. If I see, hear, or smell anything suspicious, I sound the alarm and warn Ellie and Margot. Together, we let Nina know when there's trouble nearby. Even though I'm smaller than other dogs, my voice can be just as deep and loud as a big dog's.

Here I am, looking out and listening for trouble.

I always bark to let Nina know when I hear something suspicious, like when someone's ringing our doorbell, knocking on our door, slamming their car door, yelling, or when another dog is barking.

After a long, hard day's work, I take a much needed snooze.

Good thing my services are free. Otherwise, Nina would be broke.

Barking not biting,
Franny

Diabolical & Delicious

If you've never read this blog, you may still may have heard that I love hating squirrels. These diabolical little furballs are disguised to look cute, but in reality, they are evillllllll. If I could climb trees, they'd be dinner. And breakfast. And lunch. And even brunch! Since I haven't found a way to climb trees just yet, this guy will suffice in the meantime.

This one looks so much tastier than this yummy guy I devoured a few months ago.

How many more photos do you need before I can eat this thing???

Hmm. Heads or tails? Maybe tails...

Nope! I'll just start with the head. Chomp.

Off with your tasty little head!

Franny

Afternoon Stroll

With two other doggy siblings, it's often difficult to be able to spend some one-on-one time with Nina. When I was the only child, Nina took me everywhere, always. Now, we take turns going out with her shopping or running errands (because three's a crowd). I guess it's not so bad relaxing at home with a treat-filled Kong... But when I do get to go out, I have so much fun smelling new smells and meeting new people.

Pony was in town visiting from Florida and she and Nina took me out to Laurel St. in San Carlos.

There's a little park located in between the shops on Laurel. I was smelling all the dogs who had been there before but suddenly felt the urge to start digging. And because Nina's a party pooper, she dragged me away before I could cause any damage.

I wasn't happy.

We walked into the pet boutique, Bow Wow Meow.

Are you going to buy me anything???

A wall of toys! If I could take these home, it would be one of my biggest dreams come true.

I left with some of my favorite treats, which I will be sharing with a lucky reader in the next coming weeks. Stay tuned to find out how you can win!

Grrrr (stomach growling),
Franny

Pretty in Pink

Bay Area weather is pretty bipolar. It's hot then cold, then hot and now it's cold again! Because the cold has returned, I had to wear my pink trench coat out on a walk at Point Isabel.

I got many looks and double-takes wearing this coat. As much as I like the attention and looking good, I need to wear coats and sweaters so I don't freeze my little derriere off. Right, short hair doxies? When it's cold outside, I shake and shiver without one.

Look! It's the Golden Gate Bridge!

la la la...

Point Isabel has a beautiful view of the San Francisco skyline.

Our next trip to Point Isabel has been planned for a warmer day and not at sunset. We will return on a day where I can get dirty and dig in the dirt to my heart's content. I hope the Bay Area starts to warm-up soon!

Love,
Franny

Fort Funston with Holly

Meet Holly. She is my new doxie friend and is only just a pup. We met-up at Fort Funston awhile back for an afternoon of fun. She kind of looks like me (except I'm way prettier).

I had a lot of fun digging in the sand. And I found the most perfect spot to dig!

I'm an expert root-remover. I guess I could teach Holly a few tricks.

And of course, Margot came along too.

Margot... What are you eating?

Margot, don't eat that!

Ugh, Margot... You ate it...

We had a fun time at Fort Funston. I don't know if you've heard, but the GGNRA is trying to stop us from being able to have off-leash fun there and other parks in California. Read more about this at Eco-Dog.

Holly is actually kind of scared of me. I think it's because she's intimidated by my stunning beauty and grace. Hopefully she will be more comfortable around me the next time we meet and have more fun.

Toodles,
Franny

Sleep Train

It's been raining like crazy in the Bay Area for the past couple days. We've been cooped-up inside and all we can really do to pass the time is sleep.

Margot and I have formed a sleep train on the couch with the foster kittens, Dudley and Phyllis.

Snuggle on board! Zzzz! Zzzz!

Snoring 'cause it's boring,
Franny
